Hi, I’m Shifa Hirani, a 14-year-old author passionate about science, particularly genetics and the inner workings of the human body. Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by the tiny things that make us who we are. This curiosity inspired me to write The Adventures of Helix, a children’s book that makes science fun for kids.

My parents have always supported my journey to becoming an author, and this would have never been possible without them. They’ve always supported my ideas, encouraged learning, and reminded me to believe in myself. Whether writing or just listening to me, they have followed my passion.

I love reading and spending time with my family when I am not writing. My sister, Sana, is also on her way to becoming an author, and I could not be prouder. We love talking to each other, bouncing ideas off one another, and even cheering each other on, because a bit of encouragement goes a long way. Through my stories, I aim to inspire others to be more curious, confident, and enthusiastic about learning.
